HOMEMADE FESTIVE GINGER COOKIES

Ingredients:
- 250g Flour
- 1 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
- 1½ tsp Ground ginger
- 100g Butter, softened
- 1 cup Brown sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Golden syrup
Method:

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

Add flour, butter, ground ginger and bicarbonate of soda into a mixing bowl, and mix until crumbly.

Add brown sugar, golden syrup and egg to the mixture.

Mix well using your hands until it forms a firm pastry.

Lightly dust a surface with flour.

Roll the dough out on the floured surface to about 5mm thick.

Cut out the cookies using a cookie cutter.

Place cookies on a greased baking tray, and bake in the oven for approximately 7 minutes or until golden.
