HOMEMADE FESTIVE GINGER COOKIES

This festive season, treat your loved ones to a charming Consol Glass Catering Jar (1000ml) with a Gold Lid, filled with homemade ginger cookies! Add a thoughtful touch by tying a recipe card to the jar, so they can bake more of these festive treats – the gift that keeps on giving!

Ingredients:

  • 250g Flour
  • 1 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
  • 1½ tsp Ground ginger
  • 100g Butter, softened
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Golden syrup

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

  2. Add flour, butter, ground ginger and bicarbonate of soda into a mixing bowl, and mix until crumbly.

  3. Add brown sugar, golden syrup and egg to the mixture.

  4. Mix well using your hands until it forms a firm pastry.

  5. Lightly dust a surface with flour.

  6. Roll the dough out on the floured surface to about 5mm thick.

  7. Cut out the cookies using a cookie cutter.

  8. Place cookies on a greased baking tray, and bake in the oven for approximately 7 minutes or until golden.
